We are excited to introduce everyone to our third Venture Fellow, William Leonard. William joined us this week and will be based out of Chattanooga for the duration of the program. As a Venture Fellow, William will be involved in all aspects of the venture investment and fund management process. He will source startups, take meetings with partners, and research markets, among other things.
William graduated from Mercer University in May where he studied finance and entrepreneurship. He recently completed an apprenticeship with VU Venture Partners in their NYC office as a member of the fintech team. William has also spent time at Morgan Stanley as a Summer Analyst and at Knock App, a NYC based Real Estate startup.
Will got his first taste of the startup ecosystem through working for his friend's startup at the Mercer Innovation Center (MIC). The MIC provides aspiring entrepreneurs the programs, networking opportunities, physical space, tools, experts, student interns, and access to potential funders that can help take an idea from conception to market. Going forward, William is hopeful to pay it forward as a mentor at the MIC and is excited to help cultivate future entrepreneurs emerging from Georgia.
In his free time, William enjoys community service, options trading, golfing, cooking, and reading autobiographies; along with his best friends, he mentors underserved youth in Metro Atlanta. His [current] favorite show is Narcos on Netflix. Give him a shout at william@dynamo.vc to chat about your startup!

The Dynamo Venture Fellows Program is 6 months long and provides college graduates with exposure to startups, supply chain and mobility, and the venture capital ecosystem. Fellows are exposed to every aspect of venture capital including but not limited to sourcing, research, decision making, and post-investment support. We will work with the Fellows to find a role post-program in venture capital, startups, or whatever their interest might be. We believe it’s a unique way to support the development of the ecosystem and are excited to improve the program in the coming months. If you’re interested in the program, send us a note to hello@dynamo.vc.
