We’re excited to have Skyler Loogman, Clay Katzman, and Lukas Schleuniger join us for the second part of 2021 as our Venture Fellows. As Fellows, they will be involved in all aspects of the venture investment and fund management process. Like prior Fellows, Skyler, Clay and Lukas will source startups, take meetings with partners, and research markets, among other things.
About Skyler
Skyler graduated from Oregon State University in June 2021 where he completed a double major in both Finance and Supply Chain & Logistical Management. While at OSU, Skyler held executive roles in his fraternity including treasurer and volunteered at the local men's shelter. Skyler spent one summer at Country Financial as a Client Relations Intern, and another summer, he interned as a Demand Planner for Harry & David, the national home, food, and gifting brand. From these experiences, Skyler learned to identify inefficiencies or waste and sought to find unique solutions to improve the overall success of the team.
In his free time, Skyler enjoys cooking, going to fresh produce markets, exercising, reading, listening to podcasts, traveling, and snowboarding. Some content that he is currently enjoying is the NPR podcast How I Built This and the book Adapt or Die: the survival guide to modern warehouse automation by Jeremy Bodenhamer. Reach out to sloogman@dynamo.vc or @loogmanskyler on Twitter to discuss your vision.
About Clay
Clay graduated from the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga in the fall of 2020 with a degree in business analytics. While completing his degree, Clay was a marketing analyst for Lift Media Group which fueled his entrepreneurial drive and creative spirit. Just before graduation, Clay joined FreightWaves as a Supply Chain Analyst where he authored a bi-weekly newsletter regarding the state of the automotive industry. From that experience, he gained a valuable understanding on the importance of having both a visible and adaptable supply chain.
Outside the office, you can catch Clay fly-fishing on local streams, nurturing his growing collection of houseplants, or cheering on his favorite soccer team, Chelsea FC. Send him a note at ckatzman@dynamo.vc to get the conversation about your startup underway.
About Lukas
Lukas graduated from the University of Zürich (Switzerland) with a degree in Banking & Finance in 2014. Having spent a large number of his formative years in Palo Alto, the technology and venture capital world was of inherent interest. Post-college, Lukas joined Swiss deep tech startup Dacuda to build out the 3D scanning / tracking business which was just being started at the time. Dacuda was acquired by MagicLeap in 2017. Following the exit, Lukas founded Red or Blue Labs, a company focused on product and project development in the virtual and augmented reality space. In addition, Lukas is involved in a number of conferences and media initiatives including the Digital Festival in Zürich, and a TV show produced for CNN Money Switzerland titled “Show Me Tech.”
In his free time Lukas is an avid motorcyclist having soloed parts of North Africa in 2019. He loves to tackle new challenges, learn, and meet new people from all walks of life. He is currently re-reading “Never Split the difference” by Chris Voss, one of the books that he whole hardly recommends everyone read at least once. If you’re a European founder, shoot him a note at lschleuniger@dynamo.vc to chat about your startup.
