We're excited to welcome Clay Katzman to the team as an Associate after his six-month participation in our Venture Fellowship. After working shoulder-to-shoulder over the last six months, we recognized Clay’s humility, patience, and can-do attitude as important to shaping the future of our firm.
Clay will be the first to grace our Associate ranks with Dynamo committed to supporting his ongoing development as a venture investor. He will be responsible for sourcing startups, leading our Venture Fellows in their day-to-day, and helping lead on diligence.
Clay is actively developing expertise around critical sector topics such as uncovering further opportunities in the African supply chain, the impact of nearshoring, and the evolution of the automotive supply chain. Additionally, Clay will become the new voice and editor of The Dynamo Dispatch while upholding the quality and consistency readers have come to expect over the last four years.
Clay graduated from the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga with a degree in Business Analytics. Prior to joining Dynamo, Clay was a Marketing Analyst for Lift Media Group which fueled his entrepreneurial drive and creative spirit. He was also previously at FreightWaves as a Supply Chain Analyst. It was this experience that helped him gain an understanding on the importance of having both a visible and resilient supply chain.
Outside the office, you can catch Clay fly-fishing on local streams, nurturing his growing collection of houseplants, or cheering on his favorite soccer team, Chelsea FC. Some of Clay’s long-term aspirations include owning his own fly fishing shop, having an A-frame cabin, seeing the Northern lights, and learning to surf.
